OBO ABS HELMET INNER FOAM
Useful Instructions
Foam Lining
Contact Adhesive glue designed to be suitable for Polyethlene (PE) or ethylene venyl acetate (EVA) foam. We se Ados F2, F55, or F91 contact adhesive
TOP TIP. Take a photo of the inside of your helmet before removing any foam so you have a reference for where the pieces go
- Remove the old foam from your helmet, start by removing as much as you can and if there are still some areas with foam stuck on, continue to peel these off. On especially sticky areas you can rub an alcohol solution such as an isopropyl alcohol to help release these stubborn areas
- Once the foam is removed you can clean the inside of the helmet with warm soapy water
- Dry off the excess water and leave the helmet to dry fully
- Once the helmet is completely dry you are ready to glue in the foam pieces
- To get the best results with contact adhesives; apply a thin layer of glue to both the foam and the helmet, let dry until they are both 'tacky' to touch and press into place. Repeat for all pieces of foam
- Leave your helmet to dry for 24 hours to allow the glue to set before using it again
